Foodies unite in Taranaki

Hundreds of foodies were treated to a day of delicious competitions in Taranaki.

Last week food lovers flocked to WITT to compete, to judge and to watch the 2019 NZ Chefs Taranaki Hospitality Competitions.

Thirty judges, who are experts in their fields, were tasked with judging 16 different competitions, including live cooking, barista, desserts and restaurant service.

As well as this the public was offered the chance to award the WITT Curry Cup for the best curry of the competition.

WITT faculty leader and event director Angela Ferguson said the standard of the competition was impressive.
