Fancy dressing up drag queens? Combing out fabulous wigs? Or mastering the art of applying false eyelashes?
If so, then New Plymouth Operatic needs you.
The society is looking for people to help with its next show – Priscilla – Queen of the Desert.
Marketing manager Patrick Landrigan said it takes about 250 people to pull together a show the size of Priscilla.
“Priscilla is an especially big show for the wardrobe and dressers team,” he said.
He said the society had filled their leadership team for the show and they were delighted to see a number of members stepping up into leadership roles for the first time.
“This is part of the society’s ongoing goal of creating opportunities for members to continually develop their skills, and look for new opportunities in our organisation with pathways to leadership.”
If you are keen to help out in one of the backstage teams – please email in your name, email address and contact phone number to the NPOS office at firstname.lastname@example.org, along with your preferred team where you would like help in (ie hair and wigs, makeup etc:). These names will be collated and provided to the production manager.
Volunteers are needed for: Stage Crew – Props Team – Lighting Team – Radio Mics Team – Hair and Wigs Team – Make Up Team – Wardrobe/Dressers- Cast Catering Team- Programme Sales Team- Stage Door/Security Team.
- Priscilla runs from Thursday 20 June to Saturday 6 July at the TSB Showplace, with pack in being Queens birthday weekend – 1st and 2nd June.
